From July 5-8 we went up to Pineview Reservoir with Mike's family. That is one of our favorite places in the world! It is so beautiful up in the mountains (everything is so green!) and it's always so fun to hang out at the lake all day! Mike's whole family came for a few days and it made it so fun to be all together as a family - that doesn't happen too often anymore!
The first afternoon we got up there it was raining so instead of heading down to the lake, we drove over to a big park they have there in Huntsville. The kids had fun despite the cold and the wet!
Kamree is Connor's cousin that is just 1 month younger than him and they really hit it off this trip! They just played and played {and never fought!} - they were best little buds! It was fun to watch them together!
Mike's sister, JaeLynn, and Wayne camped at the campground next door to the condos where we were all staying. We of course had a campfire one night which is always fun! Plus one morning we all went over and they made us breakfast. Here is "Aunt Jae" and Wayne with all the cousins. :)
We got to spend a couple days at the lake and it was so fun! We had a big stretch of beach we "set up camp" and just hung out. Jared and Wayne both had their boats there so of course there were lots of boat rides, water skiing, and tube riding. Fun times together as a family!
Connor LOVED being there! He loved relaxing with dad on the floaty, and his favorite thing to do? Ride the Jet Ski with anyone that would take him for a ride!!! (I sadly have no pictures of that!)
One day Shawn decided he wanted to try skiing so we got out the "starter" ski and let him try:
He did so great! He stayed up for a long time and loved every minute of it! We decided that the starter ski was a little too small for him (he couldn't even stand up straight) so next time we'll have to try actual ski's! :)
Another thing all the kids loved was a good tube ride! Our niece, Jaricka, was so nice to ride with Connor and Kamree to make sure they didn't fly off! :) I think it was more stressful to her than fun, but they had a great time!

In order to get down to the beach you have to climb down this huge steep hill of sand. The kids all had a blast playing on it!
It was such a fun few days up at the lake! {And even though it did rain off and on}- we still were able to get in plenty of boating time and swimming time at the pool. And most importantly we were able to spend some time with Mike's family! It's always fun to just be able to hang out and play with family!
