During the older boys last two weeks of school, I had Connor take swimming lessons. This is the first time he's taken them and he's almost 4! He has always been a little afraid of the water. He's not really afraid of it, he just HATES putting his head in it. He doesn't even like the water to touch his heads when we wash his hair in the bathtub at home. SO - because of this reason I waited, but now also because of this reason, he needed lessons badly! So he took lessons! He did really good and only cried a couple times (when he had to put his head in the water - go figure!) Here are just a couple pictures I was able to take - there is a fence between the parents and the kids in the pool so the pics are kinda funky looking.
On the last day of swim lessons they all get to go down the water slide! Connor was so excited...until he climbed up there! Then he was nervous...but he did it!
He by no means is ready to swim all over the pool (we need to get him over the head thing!!) but at least he knows how to swim to a point that if he fell in he would know what to do. And he loves kicking around on a boogie board! It's a step at least!
