Happy Easter!!!

The Saturday before Easter our ward/neighborhood does a potluck breakfast and Easter egg hunt at one of the neighborhood parks. It's always so much fun!! They split the areas up into age groups and then let the kids run around and find so many eggs to put in their buckets! The kids love it!!

Sure do love these boys :)

After they got home they dumped out their buckets and looked through all their goodies they got!

That afternoon they decided to get out the good 'ole Lincoln Logs and built a whole city out of them! They played with it for hours!! I love that our boys are such good friends and can always play and have fun together!

Sunday was Easter!!
Here's our 3 cuties waiting to go see what treasures they got from the Easter bunny!

They each got their own pile of goodies in their buckets, plus a couple things for them to share - some new toys for the sandbox in our backyard plus a huge kite to try and fly! Fun!

The kids had left some carrots and things out for the Easter bunny...looks like he ate them all plus left a treat for the kids!
Some of the fun treats that were left in our Easter baskets this year...

The Easter bunny leaves handfuls of candy hidden around the room that the kids have to find...then they put it all in a bowl and divide them out equally amongst themselves. Always been a fun tradition! (sorry these pics are blurry - the kids were running around! Ha!)

Our 3 handsome boys all cleaned up and ready to go to church for Easter Sunday!

Happy Easter!!!

End of 3rd Quarter

Once again, our awesome boys were given awards for their good grades at the "End of 3rd Quarter" awards assembly!

And Brady with his class...

Way to go boys! Keep it up!!

Spring Break 2013!!!

Every year in March the boys get a week off for Spring Break! It's so great because it's right in the middle of the beautiful spring of Arizona! It's nice to have a week to play and relax and enjoy the beautiful weather before it gets too hot!! So this year, as we do every year, we were able to do a few fun things to enjoy the week off of school!

One of the afternoons we went to a Spring Training Cubs baseball game! Those are always so fun to go to! We were lucky to have Grandma and Grandpa McDougal with us too! (Although I didn't get them in a picture so you can't see they were there. Oh well!)

Spring in the desert - so beautiful!

Another day we were able to go to the AZ Renaissance Festival! We always have a great time there. One of the kids favorite parts is this HUGE "Dragon slide"

We also walked through this little building that takes you through all these fairy tails - but kinda scary/gruesome in a way (all the characters were animals?)....it was kinda weird but fun to see all the same.

And of course another favorite part - the jousting tournament! So fun to see and yell and cheer for the knight that you want to win!

Spring Break also always happens to fall over St. Patrick's Day! I like this holiday - not a big deal, but fun to have a good time with it and do creative and fun things for the kids!
Here's what they woke up to for breakfast...

And the "green" items that went along with our lunch for that day...

And our "green" dinner consisting of "green" mac & cheese, green salad, and green jello! Looked so weird but sure was fun!

One thing I'm always so grateful for this time of year...
Our nice green grassy yard to play in! Such a beautiful time of year and I love to have a ton of pretty green grass for the kids to run around on and for all of us to enjoy!

We had a super fun Spring Break!!! Then back to school and "life" until Summer!!
