New Years Eve 2011!!!

First, here's a couple pics I forgot in my last post. During the week I went shopping a lot because I had gotten some gift cards/money for Christmas to spend. Well, on one of those shopping trips we were waiting for my little brother to try on some pants and Connor found this hat. It was way too big on him (obviously meant for a teenage boy, not a 3 year old!) but he LOVED it!!! And it was so super cute on him!

So we of course had to buy it..... {I don't think he would have left the store without it!}
He was so happy!!! (and then shy because I was taking pictures!)
Now on to our New Years festivities!

My dad's birthday is on New Years Eve. So we all went out to a movie and then dinner together, then came home and had some cake and ice cream to celebrate! Connor couldn't stay away from Grandpa! He has always loved and been attached to both his Grandpas, but especially since it was Grandpa's birthday Connor payed him extra attention. :)

My "baby brother" Derek - who is a Senior in High School this year!
My dear, sweet Grandma and Grandpa Dayley!
Grandpa Dave with all of his grandsons!!! (except Kayden)

Happy Birthday dad/grandpa!!!
After celebrating dad's birthday, the games and fun for New Years Eve began! We had a lot of fun hanging out, playing games, talking and laughing, and watching the ball drop at midnight! The kids had a blast together! Here they are with their pans getting all ready to go outside and bang them at midnight!
Had to snap some pics at midnight of people lovin' on each other! :) {Since Mike was back in AZ already working I didn't have anyone there to smooch myself! haha}

My brother Steven, his wife Marianela, and their son Steven David..

My brother Joshua and his wife Michelle...
This kids ran out into the freezing cold to bang their pans and yell and scream at midnight! {I'm sure the neighbors loved it!}
Then my brother Steven and his friend Chase had some fireworks to light off for everyone.
At least the little kids enjoyed it. Us adults were a little smarter and stayed inside and out of the freezing cold!! :) hahaha

For their last night together the kids all wanted to sleep in the same room. So they got out the sleeping bags, pillows and blankets and all crashed on my little sister Jenna's floor. They are so cute and have so much fun together!!!
The boys and I drove all the way home on January 2nd. Shawn and Brady were so excited to come home to finally see and ride their bikes that Santa had brought them!!!

We sure had a fun holiday season and hope that 2012 is just as good if not better than 2011!!!
Happy New Year!!!

Christmas Break...

While we were in UT for Christmas we celebrated my Sister-in-law Jen's birthday! {I think her birthday was really the day after they left, so we celebrated with her before they went.}

My brother Aaron and his wife Jen came to our house for Thanksgiving (they live in Redondo Beach, CA) and so my kids got to know them a lot better. Connor especially just fell in love with them! He asks me all the time (5 months later), "Where is the girl with the yellow hair?!" He wants to know when we get to see them again. He had fun with them over Thanksgiving at our house, and then again in UT for Christmas!
We stayed in UT for a whole week - from Christmas to New Years - so we got to hang out and play! One of the days we went bowling with my family and my Aunt, Uncle and some of my cousins. It was so fun!!

Another day we took the kids and went to Classic Skating - they got to skate, jump, and play in the jungle maze/balls. They had a great time!!

Me (looking creepy!) and my sister-in-law Marianela...

While the older kids played video games, Steven and Connor sure liked to ride in these little quarter rides! :)

.We had so much fun hanging out with our family all week! Always a good time!!!

Chrsitmas 2011.....Merry Christmas!!!

Merry Christmas!!! We woke up Christmas morning at the Reid's house and the kids could hardly wait to see what Santa brought! Here is a preview of what Santa brought to us this year (before the kids got ahold of it!)

Shawn's (what you can't see is the new bike that he left for him at our house in Arizona!)...
Connor's...
Brady's (same as Shawn - new bike in Arizona, but Santa left a picture of it for him!)...
And ours (Mike and Emily's)...Sanata doesn't bring us much - mostly just for the kids! :)
We had our little "spot" on the couch - there were so many of us there we all had to fit in the basement family room and boy was it crowded! But oh so FUN!!
Here is a picture of the tree I mentioned in my last post - look at all those presents! But I think there was something like 20 of us there. So we decided even if we all only had like 3 gifts to open (which most of us had more than that) that would be 60 presents under the tree! (and obviously there were more) Total craziness!!!
Here is everyone besides grandma and grandpa and Mike (holding our video recorder and camera of course!) all lined up on the stairs waiting to go down - the kids were all so excited they could hardly wait!!! {Well, all besides Parker, in the front, who is so tired and can't figure out what in the world he got woken up for! hahaha}
And here are the kids getting/opening their gifts! They were all so happy with what they got!

Connor...
Shawn...
Brady...
And a few pics of the whole group with all the craziness and fun!

And I love how even with all the noise and goings on, baby Kayden just sleeps through it all! So cute!!
Christmas this year fell on a Sunday so we got to go to church - they had Sacrament Meeting only and it was all about the Savior (Christmas) with lots of musical numbers. It was very good! Afterwards we snapped a few pics of us all dressed up in our new church clothes we got for Christmas!

I sure do love my 3 handsome boys!!!
We spent the rest of the day playing with family and our new toys we got, as well as had a nice dinner with the Reid family. That evening we went up to Mike's brother Jared's house again with the whole McDougal family and had some good food and games and fun with them.

Over all it was a very good and fun Christmas! I sure do love this time of year and I especially love spending it with our families!!! Merry Christmas everyone!!!
