Every time we have gone into Costco the last few years, we would see the coolest play-set/swing-sets that our kids cold only dream about! They are so huge, and cool, and fun-looking and our kids have always begged for one....we of course always said, "Some day when we have a yard big enough..." or "some day when we have the money..." you know, the typical answers you give your kids when they want something that seems so far out of reach! :)
Well... when we found out our offer had been approved on our house, and we knew we were going to have a yard big enough... Mike had gotten a bonus at work plus we had each of our kids put their own money (which equaled at least a couple hundred!) into a pot to go towards.... THEIR VERY OWN PLAY-SET!!!
Oh.My.Goodness. You should have seen how excited our kids were! So we bought it, and Mike's parents were very generous to let us store it in their garage at their condo here in AZ until we were ready for it at the house! So a couple weeks after we moved in - we began building. Yes, building. Ourselves. Well, mostly Mike - with help from his dad and myself. It was SO hard to build! It took SO many hours! You should have seen how many hundreds of screws there were!!!

We built it in a huge sandbox that our kids (especially Connor) just loves! So happy to finally have a sandbox to play in! {Let's just hope we can keep the neighborhood stray cats from pooping in it!}:)
Our kids were so happy to have it that for the first few weeks they played out there nonstop all day even though it was 100 degrees outside! They've slowed down a lot over the summer (just WAY too hot out there!) but we can't wait for the fall and cooler weather so we can enjoy our fun backyard!!!
