Free Night of Fun!

Last night we decided to take the kids to the Children's Museum in downtown Phoenix. Now, most of you that live here probably already know this (we just found out), but the first Friday night (6-10 pm) of every month, everyone gets into the Children's Museum for FREE! We did not know this until last night and, even though we knew it would be packed, we decided it would be fun to go since we have never been. It was a blast! We started the night off with some drinks here:

At the Museum, the kids got to do so many fun activities! Here they are doing some "Arts and Crafts". The first is them making snowflakes, the second is Brady painting a house:

This is Connor - chillin' out in the stroller! (All too soon he won't be happy in there anymore!)

They had this part where the kids got to ride bikes through the "car wash". They thought that was too cool! The first pic is them driving through the garage, then Brady driving out the other end, followed by Shawn.

Here are the boys riding on another "cool car"!

Probably one of the funnest parts is the "Noodle Forest". It is a whole bunch of noodles all hung together - you can't see anything or anyone around you until you run into them! Mike and the boys had a lot of fun chasing each other through there! Here is Shawn in front of it:

At one point Brady got lost inside the "forest" and Mike had to go in and find him - he came out just a crying! He was so scared because he couldn't find his way out!

Of sourse seconds later he was happy and running back through it again!

Another cool part the kids loved (Shawn said is his favorite part) is this thing they call the "Whoosh". You put balls into the slots and the air pressure inside pushes them through the pipes and they fly out the top! The boys had so much fun trying to chase down the balls (there were so many kids that they all were trying to grab every ball that flew out!) Here are a couple pics of the boys playing.

It was such a fun night and free! (well, the Museum part anyway) The kids had such a good time! Brady literally cried when it was time to go because he didn't want to leave! We had to bribe him with an ice cream cone to get him to stop crying! I guess that means he had a good time! :)

Looks like everyone had fun! I'm always looking for free activities too but they are so hard to find! Did you hear about the free Denny's grand slam day? We tried to go with some friends and it was way tooo long of a wait. They actually gave us a raincheck, it was totally unexpected and appreciated. :-)
