Christmas Eve

Our Christmas vacation began here:



Okay! So it's only the Paris Hotel in Las Vegas, NV but a girl can dream, right?! Actually, we had a free hotel room there so we used it on our way up to South Jordan, UT (on the 23rd) to spend Christmas with our families! We arrived at my parents house (Reids) on Christmas Eve and the festivities began! First we played a game of "Christmas Bingo" with m&ms.



Then we had a program where we acted out the Nativity. Here is Shawn as Joseph.



Here is Shawn with my sister Jenna who played Mary. (We were going to use Connor as baby Jesus, but that didn't work out so we used a doll!)



Brady was a Shepherd (notice the cane and the little sheep he is holding!) He had so much fun!



And here is the whole Nativity: Shawn is Joseph, Jenna is Mary, Ashley is the Angel, Derek and Brady are the Shepherds, and Kevin and Jared are the Wise Men.



After the little program was over we headed over to Mike's parent's house (McDougals) for our annual Christmas Eve festivities! (It is easy to go back and forth because they only live one street apart in the same neighborhood!) We had a wonderful dinner and had a lot of fun hanging out and opening gifts together. We had a little program and story from Grandma McDougal and then came the gift opening. Here are Shawn and Brady with their cousin Cade waiting to open gifts - they were so excited!



Here is Connor hanging out while we opened gifts. This was his very first Christmas - he loved grabbing the paper and ripping it off the presents!



After we were done at McDougals we went back to the Reids to spend the night and, of course, open our traditional Christmas Eve Pajamas! Here is our family in our PJs.

Here are all the girls: Emily, Grandma Reid (dad's mom), Lesa (mom), Jenna, Ashley, and Jen.



And all the boys: Connor, Aaron, Brady, Derek, David (dad), Kevin (with feet in the air), Mike, Shawn, and Jared. Aren't they so wierd!!

What a fun start to our week long vacation! It is always so much fun to be with family for the holidays!
