On Saturday August 6th we attended the Cardinals Training Camp in Flagstaff, AZ!
We did this last year and had so much fun we decided we wanted to do it again! Before the practice, they have a field set up for an autograph session with all the players and coaches from the entire team. They all sit at tables lined up in a long row, and they have everyone line up for what player they want to sign their stuff -- people line up for HOURS and HOURS before it even starts to get their place in line! It's absolutely crazy but SO FUN! (It's only for kids 12 and under and they'll sign one thing for each kid, which is good for us because then we get 3 things signed from everyone that we get in line for!) Obviously there are the big name players that have forever long lines (aka Larry Fitzgerald, Beanie Wells, etc.) and they only guarantee the first 75 people in line will get his signature - it's only a 30 minute autograph session. So we got in two lines of the big name players (me with a kid in one, and Mike with 2 kids in another) that way we got a couple of them, and then we just ran around the field (with the 100s of other people there) like crazy trying to get as many signatures as we could from all the other players - even if we didn't really know them. :) Well, I'm sure Mike knew most all of them, but I didn't. :) lol
Anyway! We got tons of signatures and we also tried to snap a few pictures here and there of players signing our stuff. They don't do posed pictures because that would take too long with all the people there and they want to sign as many people's things as possible, but you can just snap pictures all you want and hope you get good ones of their faces! :) Here are the pictures that we were able to get.
The first ones are the players entering onto the field when it was time for it to start.
Larry Fitzgerald of course had to enter in riding a segway! Everyone just laughed and cheered when he came in on that thing! haha
The first player's signature we got was Chris "Beanie" Wells!

We then got Larry Fitzgerald's signature! (he's my fav!)
Such a good guy! And he always has a smile on his face!
I'm not sure who these next couple people are - I'll get the info from Mike and fill it in when I know!
And last but not least, Coach Ken Wisenhunt!
We actually got him right after the session was supposed to be over. They blew the whistle, or rang the bell, or whatever it was they did...but then coach saw us and our kids standing right there next to him and so he took the time to sign there stuff, say hi to them and give them each a high 5, and shake Mike's hand. It was really cool of him!
After the autograph session was over we let the kids go play in the kid zone for a minute before heading to watch the practice. Here are the kids running through the obstacle course, throwing footballs, etc.
After the kids played for a minute, we walked and found a seat over at the practice field to watch the Cards practice some football!! Here's Mike, Connor and Shawn (above) and Emily and Brady (below).
It was fun to watch them practice! And what a beautiful place to be! The weather was perfect (got a little hot sitting there in the sun, and our faces got a bit sunburned - who'd thought being 25 degrees cooler than it is at our house?!) and the green grass and trees and mountains everywhere were such a pretty backdrop to look at! I really just thoroughly enjoyed being outdoors, spending time with our family, and watching a little football!
