Lake Powell Vacation

Saturday, June 13th we headed up to Page, AZ to spend a week with the McDougals on a houseboat in Lake Powell. On our way we took a small detour to Sedona, AZ and did a little hiking on the gorgeous red rocks. Mike and the boys in front of the red rocks.

Sunday June 14th we hung out at the hotel in Page while we waited for the guys to load the houseboat. The kids all played and hung out on the lawn at the hotel.

Sunday night after we were all on the houseboat we had a little party for Kristina to celebrate that she just graduated with her Master's Degree! This is the cake we had for her:

When we would drive the houseboat to find a place to "dock" we would stop in the middle of the lake so we could go down the slide off the back of the boat, jump off the top deck, and swim around in the lake a bit. Here is Cade waiting to go down the slide:

Thursday June 18th we packed up and headed home. On our way there was an overlook with this beautiful view of part of the Grand Canyon so we just had to stop and take a look!

We miss the lake and being with the family, but boy does it feel good to be home with a hot shower and our own beds! :) It was a really fun time! Thanks so much Mom & Dad and Jared & Michelle!
