INSTACARE
And we not only made it there once, but twice this trip!
The first time:
Monday morning, Mike cut his hand trying to open one of Connor's b-day toys. Off to Instacare! He had to get 4 stitches in his hand with a nice little "cast" on it for a couple days and then just big band-aids on it after that to keep it clean. So not fun to have happen the morning of family pictures and the day of the waterpark (he can't get it wet, therefore no waterslides or swimming for Mike). Bummer. :(
The second time:
Friday, Brady got a bee sting on his foot (at least that is what it looked like, although he doesn't recall it happening and it never hurt him, just iched). Hmm. Anyway! We didn't pay it much attention because it didn't seem to bother him at all. Saturday morning when we got up -- his foot and ankle were HUGE! they were completely swollen and it was starting to go up his leg. This was worrisome, so off to Instacare AGAIN to have it checked out! Here is a picture of his foot by itself, then compared to the other foot/leg.

The doctor said it didn't seem infected (cellulitis/venom) or anything, that it was just a "local reaction" to the bee sting, so she drew a line around it with a sharpie, told us to give him Benadryll and put ice on it if it bothered him, and watch to see if it gets better. If it got worse (past the line she drew) then we would have to have him seen again. Luckily, the Benadryll worked and everything was A-OK! (and he had a cool little "tatoo" line around his ankle for a few days.)
